About the Job
Immediately hiring Machinists for large manufacturing companies in San Antonio.
Job Details:
- Pay is up to $28/hr. based on experience.
- AM & PM shifts available.
Duties:
- Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points.
- Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three - and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating devices; tramming heads.
- Capable of running and setting up general and special-purpose machines.
- Hydro pneumatic presses and manual coining/tweaking.
- CNC machining and programming.
- Experience with small, machined parts.
- Knowledge in SPC, TPM, and poke yoke, kaizen, lean manufacturing, jigs and fixtures and gauges design, GD&T.
- Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting.
- Adjusting and reprogramming controls.
- Detect malfunctions in machine operations such as worn or damaged cutting tools.
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 2-3 yrs. of machining experience in a manufacturing shop.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand process specifications.
- Intermediate computer skills, ability to use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
