Immediately hiring a Night Shift Trainer for a supplier on the southside of San Antonio. The Night Shift Trainer's will be responsible for training, certifying, and evaluating employees who operate powered industrial trucks.
Pay is $18/hr.
Night shift is 6am-6pm
1st week of training will be on day shift 6am-6pm)
Duties:
- Classroom instruction (safety rules, load handling, stability principles, OSHA standards)
- Hands-on training (operating the equipment in real plant conditions)
- Evaluate operators’ skills
- Certify employees to operate specific types of trucks
- Re-certify operators (required at least every 3 years per OSHA, or sooner if there’s an accident or unsafe operation)
- Keep training records and documentation
- Update training when equipment or workplace conditions change
- Train new hire team members following the Safety Orientation /Training Plan
- Coordinate training with Operations Management and Staffing Agencies
- Train New Team members on production manufacturing lines and warehouse when applicable.
- Support safety program (audits, observations, etc.)
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience as a Power Industrial Truck trainer or skilled operator preferred.
- Must have strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Must have good attendance, performance, and safety record.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Must be able to use computers, scanners, and related equipment.
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on operational demands.
