We are now hiring for a Rental Yard Technician for a company in San Marcos, TX.
Pay: $19-$21 DOE
Schedule: 6:45am-5:00pm (overtime and possible rotating Saturdays)
MUST have a valid Driver's License and a good driving record. Steel Toe shoes/boots are required.
Job Summary:
Inspects and performs all checkout and check-in procedures, reporting equipment condition before and after usage.
Essential Functions:
- Assists with routine inspections, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment.
- Assists with repairs, as needed.
- Assists with equipment demonstration, loading, and unloading of equipment.
- Maintains equipment inventory systems according to standard operating procedures.
- Responsible for general yard and shop cleanup in accordance with company standards, maintaining a safe and hazard free yard.
- Maintains company equipment – keeps in good, clean, and orderly condition.
- Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of construction and rental industry equipment.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Equipment selection skills - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
- Understands the implications of new information for both current and future.
- problem-solving and decision-making.
- Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
