Now accepting applications for a Tool Assistant for a large company south of San Antonio. This is a permanent position.
Pay is $18-$20/hr. depending on experience.
Shift is Sun-Sun 7:45am-5pm (14 days on, 7 days off)
40-70 hours/week based on production.
Duties:
- Ensure tools are returned promptly and in proper condition.
- Wash, tear down & rebuild downhole tools.
- Disassemble, wash, polish, buff and reassemble tools.
- Place tool on racks for quality checks.
- Report all steps of the Tool Recycling Program through company software with supervision.
- Ensures all necessary equipment and tools are available and adequately maintained to perform all aspects of the job.
- Assist in the delivery and pickup of tools as needed.
- Store tools in the correct bins, drawers, or designated tool cribs.
- Label and tag tools for easy identification and retrieval.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies.
- Inspect tools and equipment regularly for wear, damage, or malfunction.
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of tools to ensure safe operation.
- Coordinate repairs or replacements for damaged tools.
Requirements:
- Available to work overtime, weekends, and Holidays as needed based on field operations.
- Working knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems with willingness to learn.
- Previous forklift operation and training.
- Knowledge of basic hand tools.
- Previous downhole tool experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Physical ability to push, pull, lift, bend, stoop, and do repetitive tasks daily for duration of shift.
